In my home city a man was playing the violin near a lot of shops and so on. I listened to him. Most people around were in a hurry. Ok, he played Boccherini´s Menuet and other short pieces but it was amazing! After he had finished I went to him and asked for “Boccherini” again …^^ He played it for me, and then we talked a bit. I bought a CD with his music, and I figured out that he plays the violin for over fifty years now. He was a member of a big orchestra in Russia or Ukraine, I don´t remember better … I am playing the violin since 1998 (started when I was 18, without any lessons) but I didn´t get this f@”%&!ing vibrato. Guess what: He teached me the vibrato thing. In the streets.
A few weeks later. Same man playing violin in an other street. Same shit, different day, people rushing, and so on. Of course, I listened again to him. Clapped my hands after each piece. (Asked for Boccherini. XD) Some people even starred at me and laughed but I didn´t go away. After about 15 minutes other people stood around and listened and clapped their hands after each piece, too. They bought CDs and talked with the men, and it was a great afternoon.
It wasn´t a test or something like that. And I am not lying here. I am from Germany. This man played the violin in the streets because he needed the money.
But I think a lot of people are even ashamed of showing happiness at public places. But maybe a few will be encouraged to if they see that one single person doesn´t care about other people´s laughing. In this case the person was me. And Boccherini is fantastic. ^^
Oooops … why is my comment at THIS page …? Can you please post it to the article with the man playing violin in the streets because of a test? *I apologize again*
More insight and wisdom than all the religions combined. No wonder religion is so anti-science.
true that…
Religion is defensive to science because its existence requires un-informed idiots.
Western religions irrelevance has already manifested itself.
Very good vid btw – thanks for sharing!
this is fricken awesome. and yeah i concur the above.
Interesting, insightful and it reminds me on how much I hate autotune.
First of all I apologize for my English. ^^
